Too Sweet

When I was younger I watched the film 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. The wonka bar which was eaten by Charlie always looked so nice. The packaging was pretty basic but the shape of it was what i remembered most. This was the shape which I wanted the chocolate bar to be.

My idea for the chocolate bar was for it to be a premium brand
I wanted it to look classy and elegant so i went into a couple of shops to find chocolate bars which I could use as inspiration.

A chocolate bar which look really good was 'Green&Black's Organic'
I liked the style of it and the use of colours.
It's a chocolate i always pass in shops and always catches my attention.

The name for my chocolate 'M' stands for Morgan which is my middle name. I researched other brands of chocolate such as Thortons, M&M's etc. I found that most of the names were to do with the persons actual name. So I used this information to make my choice on the name

McStack

I was inspired by claes oldenburg's drawing so I used his work as an example of the style that I was trying to achieve.

I first done a sketch of an ice cream cone to see what the outcome would be like. It turned out pretty cool so i decided to use his style and the way he coloured when creating my McDonalds stack.

Farm To Market

We had to go to a farm and several markets and make rough sketches of particular items which we were searching for.

This was the final outcome.
The colour green was used because it is mainly what I saw when i went to the farm. Green field where the animals where.
And the dull beige was the kind of dull gloomy look i got looking at markets on a rainy day.

Skate or Die!

This first board was just a quick sketch which I made of a woman with sharks a bubbles. I used Illustrator CS5 for this board.
The second board was based on the Amazon. I used different sketches of animals which I then scanned into Photoshop where I then used a tablet to colour it in.

This was the process I went through trying to get the correct typographic image for the skateboard.

Think Crime

This crime was based on a suicide bomber. I was trying to use the pictures and police tape to symbolise the evidence which would be taken at a scene. I tried to just use smoke in the background showing the after effects of the crime.

Top Trumps

The first step I took to creating my top trump card was finding an image which I could then transform into a cool design using Adobe Illustrator CS5.
I wanted to highlight different areas of my face which had different shades on them then use the multiple shades to create a new illustration. I did this by using the pen tool which I am very familiar with and drawing round the shaded areas then colouring using the eyedropper tool.
I then transferred the illustration into photoshop and played the the image options to adjust the colour. I was just messing around to see which different effects I could get and I managed to come up with this.

Oriental Butterfly Wing

I had recently been looking at asia as a whole. Anything to do with culture, clothing and movies. I thought it would be a good idea to create a butterfly wing which was to do with China & Japan.
My first idea which is shown above is of a monastery, dragon, samurai helmet, yin and yang and the great wall of china. I drew it on paper then transferred it into photoshop and used a tablet to colour. However my first idea didn't have enough images init to make it as interesting as I wanted so then I changed it with another sketch.

My second sketch contained a lot more in it. It used Mt. Fuji, Tsunami, Micro Chips, Yin & Yang, Buildings, Great Wall of China, Radioactive Power Plants, Food, Wires, Origami, Kimono, Computer Monitors and a Geisha.
The colours I used were a more dull earthy colour because i was trying to describe the more natural side of Asia rather than the big bright lights which you usually see.
